Strawberry and mascarpone millefeuille
This strawberry and mascarpone millefeuille is an express dessert to show off at home with your guests without having to spend hours cooking and it is so easy that from now on you will repeat it many times. It's the perfect dessert for Mother's Day!
Ingredients:
1 sheet of puff pastry
1 egg
2 tablespoons brown sugar
500g strawberries
300 g mascarpone cheese
500 ml liquid cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 tablespoons icing sugar
Step by Step:
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- Cut the sheet into three equal parts. Reserve.
- Paint the entire surface of the three sheets of puff pastry with the beaten egg.
- Lightly sprinkle the puff pastry sheets with brown sugar.
- Prick two of the 3 sheets of puff pastry.
- Bake at 200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
- Fillet half of the strawberries.
- Grind the other half.
- In a large bowl put the mascarpone cheese. Beat and add the icing sugar and vanilla, beat again. Add the liquid cream without stopping beating until you obtain a firm cream without lumps.
- Add the strawberry puree with enveloping movements.
- Remove the puff pastry from the oven when it is golden brown and let it cool completely.
- On a tray, place a sheet of puff pastry. Cover with a generous layer of our mascarpone cream and sliced strawberries.
- Put another layer of puff pastry on top, and repeat.
- Cover with the last layer of puff pastry. Sprinkle with a little icing sugar and decorate with some strawberries or red berries. To enjoy!
