Vanilla pears with red berries and vanilla ice cream
Making a dessert with seasonal fruit is not going to take you more than 15 minutes, don't you think so? Well, follow our recipe and you will see how easy it is if you have the right utensils.
Ingredients:
4 people
Difficulty: easy
Time: 10 minutes
For the pears:
4 conference pears
10g brown sugar
15g butter
juice of 1/4 lemon
1 vanilla pod
3 star anise
50 ml of water
For the forest fruit jam:
300 g of frozen berries
50g brown sugar
Juice of half a lemon
20 ml of water
At your service:
Vanilla and macadamia ice cream
fresh mint leaves
Preparation:
Cut the pears in half and peel them, remove the seeds and the tail. To make this recipe we are going to need our Double Foodie pan that will make the pears cook in a jiffy thanks to the steam effect that is created inside.
Place the pears all in the same position, add the sugar, the diced butter, the lemon juice, the water and add the halved vanilla pod and the star anise, close our pan and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, after the time we turn the pan over, open to make sure that all the pears have turned correctly, close and cook 5 more minutes.
To make the jam, as simple as putting all the ingredients in a saucepan and leaving it over medium-high heat for 10 minutes, we recommend making the jam in advance so that it is cold when it is time to serve the dish.
Once the pears are ready, we can serve them warm or cold from the fridge. We serve two halves for each diner, along with a couple of tablespoons of red fruit jam and a scoop of vanilla and macadamia ice cream, decorate with some mint leaves.
