Russian steak with cheddar
We could say that the Russian steak is a cousin of the well-known meatballs. Minced meat as the main ingredient accompanied by eggs and spices to taste, among other ingredients, is used on this occasion to prepare incredible sandwiches, and the fact that they are stuffed with cheese gives the recipe a plus.
Ingredients: 2 people
- 300 g mixed minced meat
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1 slice of sliced bread
- 40 ml of milk
- 1 garlic
- Fresh parsley
- extra virgin olive oil
- Black pepper
- Salt
To accompany:
- 2 hamburger buns
- mesclun
- roasted sweet potato
- Purple Onion
- 1/2 avocado
- 4 cherrys
- Mayonnaise
Preparation:
- First we are going to prepare the Russian steaks. In a bowl, add the meat and season with salt.
- In another small bowl, pour the milk and put the bread to hydrate. Drain and add to the meat along with the garlic. We mix.
- In another bowl, beat the egg, add the turmeric, the chopped fresh parsley and stir.
- We put the meat in the bowl of the beaten egg, mix well and form the Russian steaks. With these quantities we get 4 Russian fillets. First we make a ball that we crush, we place the cheese in the center, we return to form a ball ensuring that the cheese remains inside, and we crush again.
- We fry our Russian fillets on both sides, to do this we put a little extra virgin olive oil in a Connect pan and let drain on kitchen paper.
- To present this time we are going to do it in a sandwich format.
- We fill a hamburger bun with mesclum, 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half, julienned red onion, then we put one or two Russian steaks per sandwich, we continue with the roasted sweet potato and finally we spread the top part of the bun with mayonnaise and close the sandwich.
