apple crumbles
Can you think of a more romantic dessert than a crumble, a dessert designed to share, ideal to eat in the same pan , with a little macadamia vanilla ice cream that is ideal with the apple and the hot-cold contrast.
Difficulty: medium
Time: 20 min + baking
Ingredients: 6 people
4 apples (600g)
75g brown sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
A splash of Amaretto liqueur
Juice of 1/2 lemon
10g cornstarch
For the crumble:
250 g of wheat flour
40 g of ground almonds
200g very cold unsalted butter, diced
100g white sugar
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
a pinch of salt
Preparation:
Peel, core and quarter each apple. We are pouring them directly into a 24cm BRA Infinity pan . Once ready, add the sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, lemon juice and a splash of liquor, stir well and cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.
Meanwhile we prepare the crumble, in a bowl we have the flour and add the rest of the ingredients except the butter that we will have in the fridge. Stir and add the cold butter in cubes. We are pinching the cubes of butter with the tips of our fingers to gradually integrate the flour with the butter, we have to obtain a kind of earth, once the butter is fully integrated with the flour, we pour it over the apple.
Preheat the oven to 200 ºC heat up-down and bake for 35 minutes.
The ideal is to serve this warm dessert together with a scoop of vanilla macadamia ice cream and some strawberries.
