Ribeye Diane “Steak Diane”, video recipe
The "Steak Diane" is a typical American dish very popular in the middle of the 20th century. A simple and easy dish to make but with a lot of flavor.
Ingredients
For 1-2 people:
- 1 beef steak
- 200 gr. of mushrooms
- 2 shallots
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 200 ml. of cream for cooking
- 1 tablespoon English sauce (Worcestershire Sauce)
- 1 tsp of Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Brandy
- A handful of chopped coriander
Preparation
- Peel and chop the shallots and garlic cloves. Pass through the pan until they look transparent. At that time add the sliced mushrooms and fry.
- Once everything is fried, add the Worcestershire sauce, mustard and Brandy. flambé
- To finish the Diane sauce, put a little chopped coriander and cream. Allow to reduce until it has the consistency of sauce.
- Seal the steak in the pan until it is at the desired point. Serve together with the sauce.
