Meatballs with almond sauce
These meatballs with almond sauce are the ones I remember from my childhood. The sauce is delicious, and whether you use it with French fries or plain rice, you'll always want more.
Ingredients
- For the meat
- 1 kg of minced meat
- A little ground nutmeg
- A little freshly ground black pepper
- A little salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- breadcrumbs
For frying
- 3 tablespoons of flour
- olive oil for frying
For the pounding
- 2/3 of a loaf of bread-
- 80 g of almonds
- 3 cloves of garlic
- ½ liter of broth
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
Elaboration
First, we prepare the meat. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients except the breadcrumbs. Mix well until the batter will be very runny. Then we start adding the breadcrumbs. You'll need about 2 tablespoons. We make the meatballs and coat them in flour.
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Fry the meatballs. They should be golden brown on all sides. Transfer them to a serving dish lined with paper towels and set aside.
In a low saucepan, fry the bread slices with the garlic cloves and almonds. The bread should be well fried and golden brown all over. Blend everything with the broth and soy sauce.
In the same saucepan, add the crushed sauce and the meatballs, and let it simmer for 25 minutes.
Serve with French fries or white rice.
